Biography :

From a vision of Dimaz Soegiharto (Bass) and Randy MP (Guitar) in Jazz music, Jazzyphonic was formed in early 2003. To complete the formation they recruited the brothers Aldhan Prasatya (Keys) and Aldhi Mahardhika (Drums)

In the early stage of their career, Jazzyphonic only played in small scale events before their big break on being the Runner-Up of the Indonesia Open Jazz 2003 held by the infamous "Institut Musik Daya". Regarded as the youngest contestant ever to reach the final, Jazzyphonic also brings a breath of fresh air to the competition so said the jury (Marusya Nainggolan, Tjut Njak Deviana Daudsyah, Aksan Sjuman).

After their shocking win in the Indonesia Open Jazz 2003, Jazzyphonic took part in the Jazz Goes To Campus 2003, where a Public Relation Officer saw their raw and rising talent. Next stop for Jazzyphonic was to play in his event regularly once a month at an event called Sunday Jazz @ Zoom Resto & Lounge.

Having enough experience under their belt, Jazzyphonic had an idea to broaden their musical diversity to add a brass and vocal sections into  their music, Leonardus JM (Alto&Tenor Saxophone), Yaya Adenatya (flute,oboe) and Dhieka Soetama (Vocal),who share the same idealism with Jazzyphonic, are chosen to be the realization of Jazzyphonic's idealistic vision.

This idea turns out to be hit for Jazzyphonic, many medium-big event trusted them to be the headliners of the event. One of the biggest event is Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival 2005, where many media dubbed them as young generation representative in the enormous event.

Jazzyphonic quickly recognized by their peers, another international event that interested in their music is Bali International Jazz Festival 2005. Jazzyphonic came back home with glorious review and once again media dubbed Jazzyphonic as young generation representatives in the festival.

In 24th of February 2006 one of the most influential news paper in Indonesia "Kompas" wrote an article about young generations contribution in Indonesia's Jazz music boom. This article said that Jazzyphonic is also one of the musicians who took part in this boom. Sound Up Magazine even considers Jazzyphonic "The Next Big Thing in Indonesia's Jazz Scene".

In 2006 Jazzyphonic participated in Mezzo New Generation Jazz Award held by the Indonesia Jazz Violinist Legend Luluk Purwanto. In this competition, a Jazz Expert from Netherland,  Professor Rene Van Helsdingen, found uniqueness in Jazzyphonic's music. Without doubt, the Professor called jazzyphonic's music "A very different kind of Jazz".

Jazzyphonic doesn't stop there, one of Indonesia's biggest company, PT HM Sampoerna, gave the honours to welcome Jakarta Jazz lovers in the Dji Sam Soe Super Premium Fouplay & Yellowjackets concert. Jazzyphonic uniqueness and energy successfully made them one of the event center attention, just as the company predicted before.

In november 2006, one of Indonesia most known and legendary Jazz event, the Jakarta International Jazz Festival (known widely as JakJazz) is making a comeback. Jazzyphonic was chosen by the committee to took part in this international event, again Jazzyphonic was chosen because of their uniqueness.
